PUBLIC DOMAIN DISKS
-------------------
There are currently 6 P.D. Disks available within the group that
originated from the States and are known as "Amateur Radio" 1-6.
Bob (G3LMH) and myself have started compiling a U.K. collection
of disks ..starting with this disk.. which will be identified as:
A.A.R.U.G. U.K. PD Disks 1, 2, etc. It may seem a bit strange
that this disk is not radio-related but we are testing the water,
so to speak, and we are slowly collecting material for U.K. disk
number 2; this will hopefully, with your help be geared more towards
Amateur Radio.
Other material that Bob and I have been collecting for future disks:
1) A logging program (demo only at the moment)
2) Various terminal progs:
AZCOMM V1.0..(Variation on COMM 1.34)
COMTERM V1.1
AMIGA TALK
ACCESS V1.4
MINDLINK V.09
COMM V1.34
ONLINE V2.0
PACKCOMM V2.0
AMIPAC ..(can anyone help with translating the docs from Italian ?)
TERMINAL V1.2 (Italian translation also required-excellent prog)
STARTERM V2.0
3) The A.R.P.(1.3) Amiga Replacement Project and A.S.H.
AMIGA-FAX
=========
If you would like to see some pics received with this sotware program
then please send me a blank formatted disk and enough for return postage.
*** Anyone using this program ??? *** and would like a FAX QSO then get in
touch with Charlie G0EIW.
The following is a description of the contents of Amateur Radio
P.D. Disks 1 - 6 available from Andy Hewatt. There is no Charge for
the disks but please send a blank formatted disk & enough for the
return postage.
Amateur radio Disks 1-6 use Icons to access the programs/utilities and
AMIGABASIC should be transferred to these disks if you wish to run the
Basic programs. These disks are not self-booting disk and you should
load your workbench disk first.
WARNING PLEASE NOTE
-------------------
AMATEUR RADIO P.D.disk #3 has a bug (not a virus) on it which is capable of
crashing or corrupting a hard disk. The most serious problem seems to have
been with Connplex..

AmigaTalk is a program for the Commodore Amiga designed to allow blind
users to make full use of the Amiga. It performs two main functions:
The first is to say all text written to the current window using the Amigas
built-in speech capability, and to buffer this text, so the user may later
make enquires as to what text is currently on the window. The second is to
allow the user to interact with Intuition features which normally require
the use of the mouse, by using the keyboard instead.
These Intuition features include: the selection of screens,
the selection of windows, the selection of menu items, and the selection of
gadgets.

AMATEUR RADIO P.D. DISK #6 CONTENTS:
------------------------------------
This disk contains software from Black Belt Systems, 398 Johnson Road,
RR#1 Box 4272, Glasgow, MT, 59230, USA. Phone: (406) 367-5509. Although this
software is a commercial product which is sold in combination with a small
circuit board (the board is needed to receive SSTV and FAX pictures), Ben
Blish - N4EJI has asked that this disk be made available to the public to
allow interested people to look over the software to see the quality of the
project. The only "gadget" you should not click if you do not have the
demodulator circuit board hooked up is the "Rx" button. Obviously, if you
do not have a demodulator board, the software will not receive the
information that it is looking for, and could hang up the system.
You need at least 1 megabyte of RAM to run this program. The complete
system (software and hardware) costs around $ 100. You need to supply 12 Vdc
to the circuit board, connecting wires for transmit and receive audio
signals, and a box to put the circuit board in if you don't plan on putting
it inside another piece of equipment (such as a TU or TNC).
Please write to Ben Blish at Black Belt for current features, prices
and such.
----------------
NOTE:
-----
This disk is devoted to the A.V.T. system but does contain a utility
called GRABSCREEN which you could use as a stand alone program.
Some of you may be aware that this original A.V.T. system is no longer
available. However AEA (America) are now marketing a new version of the
A.V.T. system which is being distributed in the U.K. by I.C.S Electronics.
Please telephone them for price and latest details.
